Living on a boat

Unfortunately, the impression is given that a houseboat is easy to handle for beginners with just a briefing. However, it is very susceptible to wind and unusable in winds above force 4; it also reacts very sluggishly to steering input. We took out a €95 security deposit insurance policy over the phone. Now that damage has occurred, we've learned that Boataround didn't even forward the money to the insurance company due to allegedly missing personal data! We were never asked to fill out a form. They said they were trying to clarify the situation but weren't giving us much hope. So, our €1000 deposit is gone?! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
