Unfortunately, there was very little to like about this charter. The yacht was handed over in an unacceptable condition, with numerous pre-existing damages and defects, including broken cabin fittings and locks, damaged air-conditioning display, signs of previous damage and poor repair on the port side, unreliable VHF radio, and a severely bent anchor shank. The anchoring area was also dirty and full of debris. This raised serious concerns about safety, maintenance standards and the overall condition of the yacht at handover.
The yacht should undergo a full technical and safety inspection before being offered for charter. All existing damage must be repaired, and the yacht must be cleaned and properly maintained. Charter guests should receive a yacht that is safe, functional and consistent with the condition advertised.
