The best moment of our sailing week was when we went sailing independently with a cabin sailing yacht, without the help of a hired instructor. After lessons in motor maneuvering and sailing (day 1 via Tiptop Sailing, day 2 & 3 via Krekt Sailing) we were able to do it ourselves! As a family of six, with experience in small sailing, this felt like a milestone. Our preparation via the Flemish Sailing School and the fact that our son already had sailing license 1 and 2, gave us extra confidence. It was our first time with a cabin sailing yacht - and certainly not the last!
No major complaints – the pick-up experience and service from Sail Charter Stavoren were excellent, as were the marina and facilities. A few minor points: the sink did not drain properly and the boat was not completely clean in some places (such as moldy roller blinds). However, these details did not detract from our overall experience.
