We have chartered in Greece nearly every year for the last 30 years so its always nice to be in Greece and the area was very nice to easily hop from location to location
The yacht was WRONGLY advertised as refitted in 2023 as it gave the impression of overall good condition. It was well worn in many areas, plus it was dangerous in several ways: battery needed replacing as alarm sounded all night unless everything turned off or on shore power, the auto-pilot kicked out too often to trust it, both stern lines had serious degradation, main sail cockpit in-haul rope had been cut so had to be operated from base of mast, and old Garmin chart plotter was useless small size. Plus the mainsail refitted in 2018 was so small that the boat was compromised and looked stupidly furled even though winds were mainly light. Then the owner would not return our 3.000 euro cash deposit until we agreed to pay 50 euros as they allege we blocked the anchor chain. We were not warned this was a likely issue on handover, plus we heard it being tested on hand back so we think they perhaps caused it or just wear and tear on an old yacht. An unpleasant argument at the end over 50 euros on a poor yacht that we were misleadingly paying 3,500 euros for!! Your help in putting right these wrongs would be appreciated and assist your reputation and other customers not being victim. Apart form the above, we enjoyed being on the water in Greece as usual.
