I appreciated the early check in to the boat.
The charter company, marina and 99% of the rental were really great. However there were a few issues with the vessel that we fed back once we returned. Sadly a couple of fundamental issues including: The sails looked like they were in need of replacing, with a significant amount of excess ropes on deck. The fridge (although very large!) didn't effectively chill the food at all... (We joked that it was more of a warming cupboard! We bought some chicken that had a week left on the use by date, but within 24hrs, it started to smell pretty bad so we had to throw it away.) The oven had obviously been replaced, but it wasn't level at all, once the tilt lock (which didn't really work) was disengaged tilted dangerously far back.... Like 15' - 20' back.... Early on, we had a pot of boiling water on the stove and it slid back, spilling half it's contents. There also wasn't any plugs on board for any of the sinks. And just for your information, there are no basic cleaning, sponges or tea towels on board.

The sails are essentially unusable. The mainsail can only be hoisted to the first reef. At least three mast slides are broken. The genoa is completely unfurled. Several seams are open. There are numerous limpets on the hull. The electronics are also prone to temporary failures.
