Hanse 458 | Seven is a very spacious boat both in the cabin and in the cockpit. On the positive side, when sailing in the Stockholm archipelago, is a keel of 1.83 meters. Makes it possible to visit more ports/island groups in the Stockholm archipelago. Hanse 458 is very easy to cruise with as a self-tacking jib and mainsheet on the cabin roof.
Hanse 458 is not designed for visiting islands in the Stockholm archipelago if you intend to dock with the bow as there is a lack of a sufficiently powerful stern anchor. Can be solved with the bow anchor but requires an experienced sailor. There is no ladder in the bow that allows for a reasonably easy disembarkation when mooring with the bow towards the jetty. Ports in the Stockholm archipelago that take a Hanse 458 depth on the rudder when moored with the stern is limited. You can lie at anchor but then the service batteries must work more than 4 hours as for the boat we rented. Despite optimally charged batteries, its capacity was exhausted after 4 hours, i.e. the refrigerator stopped cooling, you could not use the anchor guard or light the top lantern when you were lying at anchor. Totally unacceptable! Called the company early to get help but no response during the whole week.
