Christiana, the manager of the charter company is highly professional and nice. She is also a sailing instructor, thus she knows how to properly prepare the boats and to keep them in a good shape. She gives nice advice on the best places to anchor. The marina is located in a beautiful fjord but there is no facilities (no toilets, no showers) as usual in Greece. The catamaran was modern and well equipped. I cannot put five stars because we have daily issues with the toilets of the rear cabin due to malfunctioning black water system and pump. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and I would rent again a boat with sail2day.com without any hesitation!
As mentioned before, the toilets of the rear cabins were a daily issue. We eventually stopped using them. Also, nothing to do with the rental agency but with the local mafia: be aware that fenders are stolen during the night in some ports, and that water and fuel trucks can fool you in some ports, especially in Zante (water at the same price as mineral water; fuel delivery counter not at zero but already at 50+ liters before delivery).
We spent a week sailing on the catamaran and overall we had a great experience. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making for a smooth and enjoyable trip around the Ionian islands. As we were the first to take the boat out for a full week at the start of the season, we did come across a couple of technical issues— nothing major, but likely due to oversights in the maintenance done by the third-party company responsible for servicing the boat. That said, the charter company's response was excellent. They were quick to step in, very professional, and resolved everything efficiently, which we really appreciated. Their support made a real difference in keeping the trip stress-free. Another plus was the location of the marina in Nidri. It’s a great starting point, and being already south of the Lefkas Channel saves you time and you avoid the usual hassle, giving you a head start toward the southern Ionian. We had fantastic time exploring the Ionian islands, and thanks to the team's support and responsiveness, we were able to fully enjoy the experience. We'd be happy to charter with them again.
Actually not much. Some of the sheets were a bit ticker and they wouldn't run very smoothly through the rope clutches.
Small, quiet marina. The company's service is very friendly and competent. They take care of their yachts, so everything works perfectly. An interesting alternative to Lefkada.
