8 Very good
I rate the boat 7 out of 10 because when I booked it in January, its specifications still included a 0-Z sail and a radar reflector. Super extra equipment—but only in the promotional photos. By July, all that was left was the attachment point for the 0-Z sail, and the radar sensor instrument without its software. This is not a fault of the boat itself, just misleading photos of it. 1. Bax Yachting is an excellent company. They are helpful and fair in every way. Meliti is a very well-equipped 40.0 catamaran. Its crew cabin is highly livable, just like on a 42-foot model. 1.The lazy-jack lines are very practical because the sail battens do not get caught in them during hoisting. 2.The air conditioning in the cabins can be operated independently from the salon. 3.The boat is equipped with high-quality plastic dishes and glasses that look deceptively similar to porcelain and glassware. They are complete, unbreakable, and safe.It is a minor detail, but the sponge holder in the sink is very practical.
Boat malfunctions / deficiencies: 1. We constantly received a low battery charge error message, even after the generator had been running all day. 2. An excruciating stench was emanating from the compartments of some toilet holding tank shut-off valves. This ruined the travel experience. The entire system of the boat should be thoroughly disinfected. 3. The hull of the dinghy was dirty, sticky, and impossible to clean. The fuel line of the provided outboard motor needs to be cleaned out because we experienced starting issues, and it also leaked fuel overnight. 4.The reefing lines had been bypassed/disconnected, which the Bax Yachting staff immediately reconnected upon our return.
