On the day of the takeover, the yacht was moored at the fixed part of the pier. This made it possible to park directly behind it in order to take the extensive provisions for 9 crew members on board. Otherwise it would have been a big haul. (Myths can be quite difficult.....) The yacht was in very good condition (it was almost new) and the toilet pumps/shredders, which have now obviously been reinforced, worked perfectly with a larger diameter. The current generation of Yanmar diesels has become even more economical. The sink in the galley is equipped with an additional saltwater tap, which means considerable freshwater savings when pre-rinsing. The anchor chain has (as an exception) colored markings every 10 m
The anchor winch was much too weak/slow and needed nearly 3 seconds per meter of chain. Normally it would be 0.8 m/sec.! This makes mooring maneuvers over anchor ("Roman Catholic") very tough and laborious, particularly in windy conditions. Some of the photos are not from the actual Billy M!! that's not right!!! -Stern photo without the boat name (you can even see the retouching), is from a different boat, shows a different gangway (why?) -Photo of the aft deck is wrong, as it shows a refrigerator in front of the saloon door, but this isn't there! -Photo shows a white hardtop with a sliding hatch, is actually a black soft top with a zipped hatch (awkward) -The staircase from the helm shows a staircase with three steps and a handrail. The original is significantly different. At least there is a staircase. -Photo of the galley is wrong, does not show the saltwater tap, which is important. - the two crew cabins port and starboard each have a complete small bathroom including a toilet under the bed!! This is not mentioned anywhere. -"Verified information Lagoon 42 | Billy M offers verified information and real pictures" unfortunately does not apply in this case!! This urgently needs improvement.
