If you’re considering this sailing trip, don’t hesitate—book at least 2–3 days! It was without a doubt one of the most unforgettable experiences our family has ever had. We sailed with Joel and our children along Sicily’s stunning east coast, and the highlights were simply beyond anything we could have imagined. While anchored outside Taormina, we watched the sun set as Mount Etna erupted in the background, with glowing lava flowing down the mountainside. Moments later, we jumped into the clearest turquoise water we’ve ever seen. It felt surreal. Joel is an outstanding captain—professional, knowledgeable, and always making us feel safe. Even more importantly, he’s a genuinely kind, warm, and welcoming person who went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. The boat was spotless, with large, comfortable beds and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We also enjoyed using the paddleboard and the brand-new kayak to explore the beautiful coastline. One detail that really stood out was Joel’s exceptional hospitality—he even took care of all the cleaning after we left, so we could simply enjoy every last minute of our trip.
