Izola Port, Reception
The boat's equipment was very poor. There was no life raft, and life jackets were only suitable for children up to 45kg, even though only adults were on board. The handover was extremely inadequate. Our boat, Tequila, was unavailable (no sails). We had to find a life raft ourselves. The only safety equipment was a single life ring, which we had to search for. The charts were outdated, and there was no harbor guide. The dinghy was missing and was only delivered the next day, as were the paddles. A proper handover didn't really take place, as no responsible personnel were available. We were able to sail, but we were not adequately equipped for an emergency. Following the principles of good seamanship, we should not have been able to set sail.
