Stefanos, the base manager was very good answering our messages promptly during the week and very attentive during the meltemi winds, calling out the local technician when the toilet clogged was very quick, on our return he understood the stress we had with the toilets and was a gentleman with us. The rooms are very spacious, all 4 of them, with plenty of storage everywhere. The kitchen utensils were very well stocked, 2 chopping boards, plenty of cookware, dishes, cups, knifes, etc. The helming station was very good with a solid rooftop and big storage compartments. Because the steering was hydraulic, going in reverse was easy since the helm didn’t try to go to one side. The boat was well stocked with all the necessary lines, first aid kits, even medical oxygen bottles. So far has been the best stocked boat I have ever chartered.
Checkin was very poor, we arrived to the marina at 11am and the boat was finally given to us at 5pm, the crew list wasn’t complete because of technical errors and there wasn’t enough people to checkin the boats. Avoid people in the marina offering you to buy in their supermarket, overpriced and lack of products, better to pay for a taxi and go for a normal supermarket. Now the boat: helm is hydraulic and the centre disappears all the time while you are sailing, forcing you to rely more on the autopilot than on your own steering. Heads are fully automatic and you have to flush them at least 3 times so they don’t clog, so when the holding tank (which meter didn’t work) is closed you can only use the toilets only 3 times, we tried to save space one day by flushing 2 times, one toilet clogged and a technician had to be called, we paid for it 200€ and we got the refund on our return. The stern rooms had strong fumes smell, and the one on the side of the generator even more. The generator was failing all the time, so we couldn’t use it properly. Refuelling at Alimos to be avoided, better get your diesel before going to Alimos and topping up there.
