I was informed earlier than planned as soon as the yacht was ready for handover. I've never experienced such a professional boat handover. I hardly had to ask anything; the charter crew's service was excellent, they even topped up the water before departure. The yacht itself was in very good condition and sailed well; the furling mainsail and genoa (thankfully not a self-tacking jib) were flawless to operate. The engine (Volvo Penta) performed reliably. There were no problems with the bow thruster either. The anchor chain is marked.
Unfortunately, this boat also lacked a brief manual (a few pages) containing the most important boat data, locations, and descriptions of the water valves and fuses. While everything was shown during the handover, it was difficult to find it again after a few days. A diagram would be helpful. The water and diesel level gauges and the battery indicators either didn't work properly or at all. I would prefer analog gauges and mechanical toggle switches.
