We decided on an early check-in at 1:00 PM. The yacht was delivered on time, but it was not properly cleaned – in parts it was simply dirty. Because of the very quick check-in process, we were not able to carefully inspect the overall condition of the yacht. The onboard VHF radio did not work properly – transmissions were unclear, even on channel 16. The available blankets had some insects, most likely bedbugs, and the entire crew experienced bites during the night. Inside, the yacht is heavily worn out: doors would not close properly, some handles were falling off. The kitchen was poorly equipped: there were not enough cutlery sets for 10 people, some pots were unusable, one pan was missing a handle, and overall there were very few cooking utensils, most of them in bad condition. After two days of sailing, independent of the crew’s actions, the electric toilet pump broke and one of the shower drain components burned out. Because of the repair we had to stop for more than half a day. The yacht definitely needs an interior refit – the furniture looks shabby and leaves a poor impression, which made the price–quality ratio disappointing (we chartered the yacht in high season, August 2025). We reported all these issues to the charter company upon return. The company argued that we raised no concerns during check-in, but as mentioned above, there was simply no time for a thorough inspection.
