We chartered the Bavaria 39 Cruiser “Dimitra” from Kavala for one week in September 2026 and spent a wonderful week sailing around Thassos. The yacht is a very nice boat for three people and was well suited to our sailing trip. We particularly enjoyed exploring the bays and coastline of Thassos, anchoring in beautiful places and experiencing the area from the water. The boat was generally easy and pleasant to sail. There were, however, a few technical issues that should be mentioned. From the first day, the electric aft toilet did not work properly. We also had leaking roof hatches/windows, and we experienced problems with the batteries and the refrigerator, which meant that we had to switch the refrigerator off overnight on one occasion because of the low-battery alarm. The anchor windlass also did not operate correctly. These issues did not prevent us from enjoying our sailing holiday, but they are things that should be checked and repaired before the next charter. Overall, we had a very nice sailing holiday and enjoyed both the yacht and the sailing area around Thassos. Kavala is also a very convenient starting point for exploring this part of Greece. We would like to thank the charter team for the organisation and for making our sailing week possible. We would definitely recommend the Thassos area for a sailing holiday.

I picked up the boat from a charter company and handed it over to friends. That pretty much sums up the experience with Argiris and Thomas. The boat isn't new, but it is well-maintained. We received a map showing the best mooring and anchoring spots in Thasos. Argiris is a highly experienced sailor, ready to help and guide you. I recommend this to both, beginners and experienced sailors. By the way, the check-out process was incredibly fast.
