The people at Istion were lovely and very helpful - they were so kind in helping us with understanding everything and were available at a moment's notice when we needed help at sea, they made an extra effort to celebrate my mom's birthday and also share the Greek Easter traditions with us. Also the folks at Boataround, thank you.
We made a huge mistake in booking Lefkada rather than in Athens as we couldn't clearly see that it was a totally different port, three of us were booking together on one screen and somehow missed that, so it could be nice if that was clearer. It worked out well, Lefkada was amazing but it was costly for us and a long trip from Athens. Also it would be VERY helpful to get some support in loading and unloading to the yacht - even just a 'dolly' - a furniture mover or something. It's also a bit sad that two nights need to be spent in Lefkada, both the night we leave (makes sense, far less stressful, so I get this) but also the night of return (again, makes sense but means we have 2 less nights on our holiday).
