Be carefull of scammy practice of Damir and Lidija. I booked a Bavaria 44 through BB Jezera to give my parents a special holiday — their first time at sea in 28 years. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful experience ended very badly. At the end of the charter, Damir (the owner) was behaving really odd (before he was joking and smiling) suddenly pointed out a crack in one of the windows under sprayhood. He even staged a little “theater,” pretending to cut himself on it. They then deducted €250 from my deposit, claiming it was our fault. I unfortunatelly did not do video of the vindow when I took the boat that was my fault, because the person that slept there said the window was cracked from the the start. After asking around in the yachting community, it’s clear that its very old crack that the window closing mechanism was improperly repaired before our rental — the handle was screwed into the window frame instead of glued, which puts constant pressure on the glass and leads to cracks over time. Some said that they had the same issue with scammy charters that did the same practice with a screw on handle. Then a guy reached out to me that rented the same boat before us and he said that the crack was there. I spoke also with other guy that had their other boat rented Elan 344 and he complained that they wanted money for a screach on the side of the boat. But the whole week they did not park sidewise. I contacted them to explain and provide this information, but after taking my money they stopped responding completely. Be very careful renting from them. Their business practices are dishonest. They will pont out scretches and damages on the boat that were not cause by you so they can charge your. I am adding also a photo of the damage so you can see how scammy charter companies put screw in the handle. Most of the time its under sprayhood covered with ropes.
