Marina was great.👍
The charter company intentionally keeps defects on the ship hidden so that it can then emasculate money for supposed repairs. He then repeats this with other clients. Be very careful when checking in, especially the toilets!!!
Translated by Google
The fairly new Marina Novi Vinodolski is very nice and well equipped, very clean toilets and showers, unfortunately it is annoying that you only get access to the wet rooms with an access card, and you also need this again when you leave, i.e. if several crew members go to the toilet at the same time, you always have to wait until everyone is ready to leave the wet rooms. The marina staff were also very helpful in finding a place to charge my electric car, parking facilities (included in the charter price) are top notch. The staff of the charter company Smart Sail were very friendly at check-in, and I also like the SMS service messages (e.g. that a storm front is approaching, batteries to charge, etc.). Towels, a small welcome gift on board, and the fact that Anddy brought us a bag of crushed ice for our drinks was great. We also got a free SUP as a "goodie" because we booked through Boataround. The handover went very well and since we didn't want to leave until Sunday anyway, check-in from 6 p.m. was also OK for us, I was shown everything on board, including all the waste tanks with the clear note that they were empty (this seemed strange to me when I was handed over, but at the end of the trip I realized why), but everything seemed to be fine. The boat was built in 2016 and was renovated in 2021, and at first glance is in reasonable condition for its age. A few damages on the outside, among other things the boat could have suffered a major side damage. Crash, this was sealed with the aluminum strip, which is badly bent. Good: • Sails • Anchor • Bow thruster • Bimini and spray hood • Seat cushions in the outside area • Dinghy • Refrigerators • Interior equipment, everything is there (pots, dishes, cutlery, etc.) • Etc.
Bad: • Engine - makes very strange noises when starting - but worked until the end of the trip • Instruments - are fine for their age but unfortunately some of the displays have stains • According to Anddy, the batteries should be new, but after partial motor travel and PV panels, the batteries were empty again after just one night and we had to start the engine early in the morning in a bay to charge the batteries? • Mooring lines oversized and slightly damaged • Inside, the door latches on 2 doors fell out when the doors were closed - I repaired them • The flap on the navigation table is barely attached anymore (fittings broken), other doors in the pantry also wobble • Leaky side windows in the salon STB above the instruments, toilet bow STB, toilet stern port (heavy water ingress after rain) • The reading light in the port bow cabin is broken (bulb works in other lights) • The radar reflector was missing at the start of the trip?? • The bathing platform motor can hardly manage any more without help closing the bathing platform • The bracket for the bathing ladder is broken and we were soon completely ripped out of the bathing platform; I had to screw it back on after each use. Very bad and very annoying: • Depth sounder didn't work, flashed the whole time and showed a maximum of 4.9m even at very great depths • The insect net in the port aft cabin was already broken at the start of the trip, but we only noticed this on the third night when we needed it in a bay because of an insect invasion - when checking out I reported this to the Smart Sail employee in my list of defects, we were then told that we had broken it and should pay for the repairs, but after a long discussion with the manager they decided not to charge us. • Sea valves for the toilets (waste tank) - after we left on Sunday we headed for a bay and of course closed the sea valves in the bay. After leaving the bay, we wanted to open the sea valves again on the open sea to empty the tanks, but the valve in the port - stern wet room could no longer be moved. The bow toilet valve could be opened, but apparently only the lever moved. Since the waste tank indicator did not work, we unfortunately did not notice that the tank was already full on Wednesday, and on Thursday morning there was a very unpleasant smell from the toilet. The tank released the contents again through the toilet bowl - (I would like to spare you a further description of the work). We immediately informed Anddy via WhatsApp that the valves were not working properly. When we checked out, the base manager explained to us that we had thrown something in the toilets and that this had blocked the sea valves. I told him that I have been chartering in Croatia for 20 years and that we do not throw a single sheet of paper in the toilet, as we dispose of the used toilet paper in bags that we bring with us. However, he insisted that the damage was our fault and we had to pump it out and pay for the repair of the sea valves (we were charged €250.00 for this service)! It's a shame, because this week will be remembered very negatively. I think that this is a pure "rip-off" by the charter company and all renters who plan to charter this boat should check these points carefully when checking in!!!! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the charter company Smart Sail and I am very disappointed with the company's approach, as we are 100% not to blame for this damage. We asked the base manager to send us photos of the valves after the tanks had been pumped out, but I don't think that will happen. A very disappointed charter customer from Smart Sail Horst

Super charter services. They accommodated the time of taking over and handing over the ship. Great communication even via whatsApp.
Technical condition of the ship. Insufficient battery capacity. They did not last from evening to morning with only the anchor light on and the refrigerator on.
