Very proper takeover and return of the yacht

Expecting a relatively new 50ft yacht (2 years old), I was very disappointed with the state of maintenance. I have never experienced anything like it in 20 years. The Trogir Marina, along with its proximity to the old town and the airport, offers good conditions and the sanitary facilities can hold their own in the upper range. But the Kufner d&d is so worn out that it makes you sad as a water sports enthusiast and boat lover. Listing everything would go beyond the scope of this article, but a few things, including safety-related ones, should be mentioned here. Unfortunately, I only noticed the swollen mainsheet after we set off, and we had to laboriously rinse the salt out with fresh water so that the sheet would even slip through the cleat. It took hours! The tackle for hauling up the bathing platform was barely long enough; two strong men were needed... There was a puddle of diesel on the tank, water not only in the bilge but also on the foredeck bunk. Binoculars unusable after one had already been replaced, which I apparently found to be okay and initially put away, but turned out to be unusable when used! The right-hand chart plotter didn't work at all and was supposed to be handed over as is... I refused, and it was only repaired with difficulty. Everything was out of adjustment. The depth sounder could not be activated. Multiple restarts and complex installation and settings were necessary to get the most important data. Since there were no secondary instruments, you are dependent on the plotter. All in all, I would not charter an American yacht again, and not from this provider either. I would rather pay a bit more and have competent and dedicated staff who take maintenance more seriously. I'll save many of the details for now.
