Request for Review and Partial Refund of Charter To Dream Yacht Charter Customer Relations, I am submitting this letter to respectfully request that Dream Yacht Charter review our charter experience and consider providing a partial refund or other appropriate compensation. Our group booked a sailing vacation in Saint Martin expecting to spend the week enjoying the charter experience we purchased. Instead, our charter was marked by repeated mechanical problems, a vessel change, an unresolved propulsion issue on the replacement vessel, and ultimately an incident that ended our vacation several days early. I understand the July 24 incident will be reviewed separately through the insurance process. However, I respectfully ask that Dream Yacht also review the complete sequence of events leading up to that incident, as the challenges with our charter began well before it occurred. Timeline of Events July 21, 2026 • I took possession of the originally assigned Bali 4.4 catamaran on behalf of our charter group. July 22, 2026 • After our first full day aboard, the generator failed when the vessel was shut down that evening. • Because of this failure, the original yacht could no longer be used as intended. July 23, 2026 • Dream Yacht transferred us to a replacement vessel. • After taking possession of the replacement yacht, I identified and reported a concern with the propeller/propulsion system. • I was advised that a technician would come to our location on July 24 to address the problem. July 24, 2026 • On the morning of July 24, I was informed that Dream Yacht was unable to send a technician because a service boat was not available. • I was advised that repairs would instead have to wait for several more days. • Given the reported propulsion concern and the inability to have the vessel repaired as originally planned, I made the decision that it was not safe or appropriate to continue our charter with a vessel that had a known mechanical concern. I advised Dream Yacht that I would be returning the yacht to the base so the issue could be addressed. • While returning the vessel to the marina for repair, the yacht made contact with a submerged rock. • I immediately reported the incident, returned the vessel to base, and fully cooperated by completing all requested accident and insurance documentation. • Following the incident, I was informed that our charter would not continue and that we would not be provided another replacement yacht. • The only option offered was for our group to remain aboard the disabled vessel while it sat tied to the dock at the Dream Yacht base until our scheduled departure. • Our group spent the night of July 24 aboard the disabled vessel at the marina. July 25, 2026 • With no opportunity to continue our charter, our group secured hotel accommodations at our own expense for the remaining three nights of our vacation. • Remaining aboard a disabled yacht tied to the dock was not the sailing vacation we had planned and paid for. • During this time, members of our group also felt uncomfortable due to comments made by staff while we were still at the marina, adding to an already stressful experience. Our Request When viewed as a whole, our charter experience included a generator failure on our original yacht, a mandatory vessel change, a reported propulsion concern on the replacement vessel, cancellation of the scheduled onboard repair because Dream Yacht was unable to send a technician, my decision to return the vessel to base because I believed it was not appropriate to continue operating a yacht with a reported mechanical concern that could not be repaired as promised, an incident that occurred during that return, the loss of the remaining days of our charter, additional hotel expenses for our group, and the loss of the sailing vacation we specifically booked and paid to enjoy. I appreciate the assistance provided by those who worked with us throughout this situation. However, the overall charter experience fell far short of what was contracted and expected. I respectfully request that Dream Yacht Charter review the complete timeline of events and consider providing a fair partial refund or other appropriate compensation in light of the significant disruption to our vacation. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Nathan Dial
