They charged €250 for a 5 minute job, which I also discussed with the mechanics. The boat is dirty, the rigging is worn out, the winch rope grips and clamps are worn out, they no longer hold the rope even in moderate winds! The sail is stuck! In principle, the boat is good in terms of its spaciousness and layout. Looking solely at the technical requirements for sailing, both sails and the engine are in good condition. The engine throttle lever takes a lot of getting used to, however, as the markings for idle and reverse gear are misleading, which we learned the hard way when docking. We had fun with the dinghy when ferrying to restaurants in bays, but it loses air, which has to be pumped up again and again with a pump on board.
The handover was quick and hectic, as it was already dark and we were one of the last boats to be handed over. They were not so careful with the rescue equipment: 4 life vests/belts for a crew of 5, the lifebuoy could not be properly attached to the pushpit because the fastening straps were hanging by a thread. What was just annoying for us: no cushions for the cockpit caused flat bottoms when sitting on deck, the gas flames on the stove had no power, the water for coffee took 20 minutes to boil. The toilet pumps are quite stiff (especially for women) and sometimes the dirty water ran back into the bowl, which led to an unpleasant smell. One of the toilet doors no longer closes properly and kept banging open and shut at the buoy during the night. The only drinking glasses on board are very spartan, with just 5 small orange juice glasses. The upholstery in the saloon is very worn and partly dirty. Mini-damage and deposit insurance. For the inexperienced charterer, it is not immediately clear from the communication between the agent and the charter company that when taking out the deposit insurance offered, a small refundable excess must also be paid, which is retained for minor damages, even if, as in our case, it is a trivial matter. The regulation of payments for deposit insurance plus refundable deposit is not mentioned in the German version of the charter company's general terms and conditions. The communication within the base staff between reception and boat staff is uncoordinated and contributed to the annoying end to what should have been a lovely week of sailing.

In the best case, your vacation on the boat will become more expensive (fees for everything possible), in the worst case, I will charge you for damage to the boat for which you don't even know how many crews before you have already been made to pay the same thing (eg: the damage to the plastic window was paid for by the crew next to us €800, one clogged toilet €200...) Don't expect help from the tour operator! Think of it as if you are renting a yacht (sailboat) so you have money, the task of the Croatians is to get as much money as possible from you and I think they are successful...

    The team of the charter company is fair and friendly. Especially Goran and Luka are great, responsive, patient, we arranged all the formalities for taking over and handing over the vessel (check-in, check-out) quickly and without complications. Since the Drage marina is still under construction, a large part of the marina was (still) a construction site, so access with a luggage cart from the car to the pier was impossible. That's why the hands were a few centimeters longer after the transshipment was finished ;) We were familiar with this situation (we've been here before), so we accepted the matter with understanding. However, some discomfort was noticed among the other guests. The piers where vessels are tied up are finished and very nicely arranged and fully equipped. Depending on the situation, sanitary facilities and parking were well taken care of in a facility in the immediate vicinity. Toilets very clean, parking in the shade and under supervision. Regarding the vessel (Bavaria 46, year 2018) in general, solidly preserved. I can say that the vital parts of the vessel such as sails (new), ropes, winches, hull, engine, batteries, navigation equipment were in quite good condition. I also praise the additional equipment such as solar panels and air conditioning, as well as the refrigerator (important), which worked perfectly.
    I believe that when the marina is completed, adequate access to the piers will also be arranged, so I wouldn't comment too much on that... maybe only that during the tourist season, we could better agree and arrange certain, even if temporary, routes with the construction contractor to the pier. A little more attention could be paid to the maintenance of the interior of the vessel (broken cabinet hinges, worn latches, non-functioning lights, poorly functioning toilet pump), and the cleanliness of the interior of the vessel.
