Charter company relatively flexible, accepting later arrival and return times. (Very good). A WhatsApp group for the charter company staff was set up for the trip. (Good). Unfortunately, no response to an inquiry regarding a technical problem. (Poor.)
We received a different boat because the original wasn't available (neutral), admittedly one foot larger, but in rather poor condition. The handover was cursory, while the inspection was lengthy, and it was clear whether any new damage had occurred in addition to the several existing ones. We received no copies of the handover and return protocols, so we're hoping for a refund of the €3600 deposit, which was €1200 higher than the original €3600 deposit :-(. The refund finally came through after three days. With a handover protocol at the time of pickup, we would have noted all the defects found before the return to help with repairs. The swim ladder was unusable, the shore power cable was faulty (loose connection), there were unclear and intermittent warning tones indicating a low charging voltage of 15V while the engine was running, the engine bilge pump ran continuously without power, and the leisure battery warning tone couldn't be switched off at night, meaning the refrigerators and all pumps had to be turned off. The water and sewage gauges were incorrect or defective. An instruction manual with a diagram of the Bavaria panel switches would have been helpful, but unfortunately, it wasn't on board. The diesel consumption was impossibly high at 190 liters for approximately 20 hours of engine operation. 2100 RPM. Standard fuel consumption is 3.5 liters, maximum 6.5 liters per hour. Equipment is insufficient for 12 people, just adequate for 5: a standard-sized frying pan, a medium-sized pot, and a 1-liter plastic coffee pot. We've experienced better on other boats. First-time charterers should note the lack of kitchen and bathroom supplies such as dish soap, garbage bags, cleaning cloths, and toilet paper. The boats are usually very basic.

Customer service. There was no decision-making person on site, only young employees. And the damage, mainly due to the yacht's age, was blamed on us and reported via email.

The sailing area is beautiful and easy to reach by public transport.
The toilets were locked at night and completely filthy. The boat was full of minor defects upon delivery, and the massive main damage below the waterline, to the keel, and to the propeller were concealed (which weren't visible upon receipt because we didn't submerge the boat). The staff weren't even interested in hearing our opinions, suggestions for improvement, or even a description of the damage.

Sailways' technicians started working on all reported problems immediately after returning to the base in Alimos.
Color markings on chain were missing, water tank level indicators not working.
Quality boats. To somehow compensate for the fact that they have such bad boats. While I was in the Alimos marina, repairs were made to that boat all the time. The anchor light, streaming light, depth meter, sper meter, AC, water heater, anchor did not work, there were no curtains or nets on the windows and many others.
