The layout of the Bali is always nice.
From a charter company perspective they were very disorganized. We were given the wrong Skipper and Hostess information at first. When given the correct Skipper and Hostess only the skipper spoke minimal English and the hostess didn't speak English at all. We had asked and checked to verify early check in 3 times. However, once checking in they said our boat was not ready and we couldn't early check in. We planned early flights just to accommodate this. Once we were underway the air-conditioning on one half of the boat didn't work. When it is summer and humid this results in a miserable experience for the guests ... think steam sauna. Spartivento was supposed to fix within 24 hours and it took days to get them to call us back. They finally met us at a port and said they needed a special pump to fix it and they would meet us at our next stop. They never did. We never heard from them again until we arrived back at port... where we were promptly yelled at by the deck hands for being two hours late and threatened to be charged $250. Yet the reason why we were late was our skipper told us we had to go to a different diesel port and that it would only take 10 minutes out of our trip... it took two hours. Furthermore the captain seemed more interested in following his own agenda and staying at ports he had friends at or plans in the evening or where his internet carrier worked better. Multiple times we asked to follow our friends who were also chartering similar boats but it felt like we had to fight with the skipper every time. When we raised these issues back at dock the women working were not very helpful and told me that I was agitated (I indeed agitated given the reception I received at the dock and having to walk all the way to the office vs. getting a ride on the cart like we were given when we arrived). The office women were not helpful and would not suggest any remedies and said I had to write a letter to their HQ. I pressed this and relayed that they took my money just fine when I arrived, why can't they give me some of it back now. They offered a possible discount on "next years yachting season" if I wrote a letter. After pushing more they told me I should go all the way back to the dock and talk to some other manager (where I just was). The service has been so disappointed I am currently disputing part of the charge with the credit card company.
