3-hour waiting time for pickup plus 2 hours for repairing any faults. Any faults (anchor winch not working, water in the bilge, oil under the engine) must be repaired before pickup.

I wanted to share my opinion about the last charter. Some time has passed, but we were waiting for the promised response from the charter company IRIS Yachtcharter SL. After arrival, it turned out that the yacht we had chartered, Bavaria Cruiser 50 | The Leonis is damaged and we were offered another Bavaria 51 Firewall unit. We were assured that the yacht was of a similar standard and technical condition. When handing over the yacht to us, the staff hurriedly presented the unit to us. They didn't even want to unfurl the sails and said that if something was wrong, we should take photos. We received a pontoon which we had to inflate ourselves. The engine was damaged and it only worked for 2-3 minutes. The seat cushions on the deck were so dirty that they stuck to the body. Only after we spent a lot of time scrubbing them were they ready for use. The aft cabins were dirty and messy, and there were toolboxes on the berths. Unfortunately, after sailing, during the first attempt to unfurl the sails, it turned out that the jib was damaged (we took photos), this was the beginning of the problems we encountered. The next one turned out to be an unemptied feces tank in one of the toilets. The tank had a damaged emptying valve and its contents overflowed through the vent, causing a stench to spread throughout the unit. Halfway through the cruise, after the second use, the anchor windlass was completely damaged when the anchor was lowered. Unfortunately, the elevator was probably assembled from two others and did not have the ability to declutch the engine or manually rewind the chain. After many attempts, we managed to manually pull the chain out of the water along with the anchor. When returning the yacht after submitting our comments, the charter company employee was shocked by our comments regarding the technical condition and preparation of the yacht. The yacht was returned and some time later the head of IRIS Yachtcharter appeared and stated that we had damaged the thruster. Even though the yacht was handed over, its operation was checked. Our deposit was not refunded. We demanded evidence that we had damaged the thruster, but the company's manager, Matthias, sent us a blurry photo from which nothing could be concluded. He promised to return the unused part of the deposit, but he has not done so yet. We believe that IRIS wanted to erase the bad impression regarding the condition of the yacht by accusing us of destroying the thruster. Of course, we are not going to leave it like that and we will post opinions on all opinion-forming portals and social media regarding the hundred technical aspects of the yachts offered by IRIS charter and the practices they engage in towards customers.
