Toilets compared to 2025 are even more smelly. House battery was weak (2 times over night power off), starter battery works good.
The yacht itself was ok, enough power to plow along at a steady 15km/h. Not great, but enough. The space was amazing, 8 people fit comfortably, and the extra room on the fly deck was useful and well designed. The fridge works on 12v, so no shore power needed to keep food fresh and beers cold, same for the ice box. Auto pilot is a game changer, especially on longer legs. The yacht was well prepared and clean for the pickup. And the toilets didn't stink, as the previous comments said, you just had to make sure to keep the flush button pressed until it starts pouring water. Without water in the basin, of course it's going to stink...
The AC does not go down into the rooms... When sleeping at 30C, or trying to sleep but failing, we really had strong things to say about that. Few mates slept outside, cause their room was a sauna, with the only option for fresh air being the webasto, which only works on shore power. There are no 230v outlets working without shore power and not a single generator on board, that was a let down. Fuel consumption is not great, if you keep the speed below 12km/h it's ok-ish but anything above creates a sink in the tank. Highest we've seen was 80l/h at 18km/h, ridiculous for a diesel. The thruster is only at the front, still mighty useful, but the last boat we had was double, which really improved manouvening in tight marinas. This one was a bit tricky at first, but got the hang of it after a few tries. The experience with Angelina was a let down. The only plus side were the nice and friendly ladies in the office - kudos to you, but we had to wait almost 2hrs for anyone to guide us on how to use the boat, and that was like a 5 minute tour, because they had some issue with another boat. Apart from that, this was the first charter company I've seen using a mobile fuel pump to fill up the yacht after bringing it back, and they made well sure to put any spare space in the tank to use, the guy filing it up pressed the pump a few times, after it jumped back, causing an extra 21l to be filled, even though the screen said it was 100% when we made it into the marina, after filling it up at the station. Never seen such a thing before, everyone else sees 100% and that's enough. And they charge 2eur/l for that as an extra.
The boat was cramped for eight people, but adequate. The galley, in particular, was larger and better equipped than expected.
The sanitary facilities were practically unusable: even when empty, the toilets smelled unbearably bad! Due to a storm, we had to spend an unplanned night in the home harbor, for which we had to pay extra mooring fees. The boat wasn't very clean when we handed it over, which unfortunately only became apparent upon closer inspection. A cushion for a bench was also missing, which we unfortunately only discovered later. We were advised to refuel before returning the boat because it would be cheaper. What they didn't tell us was that the tank first had to be filled, and then a second tank would slowly fill up. As a result, we stood in line for 3.5 hours to refuel, only to find upon return that the tank was only half full. Also worth noting: the air conditioning, which isn't installed in the cabins, and the electrical outlets only work when plugged in (in the harbor). We wish we had known that beforehand…
