4 Poor
The size of the ship was as expected.
There is a lot of room for improvement. 1. Ship readiness - the deck and interior of the ship were not very clean upon handover. In addition, the ship was handed over only 1 hour after the agreed time, while no one had been doing anything on the ship for two hours. 2. The ship has several damages that are not being repaired on an ongoing basis. The storage cabinet in the common area by the seating area was loose, torn out - very dangerous. The sink in the galley is probably leaking, because the drawers under it were constantly damp and watery. The walls in the front cabins and the toilet were damaged, repaired very carelessly in some places. The toilet seemed to be draining and closing inoperative. The rear toilet repeatedly filled with sewage regardless of whether it was closed or open. The board under the steps at the entrance to the engine was damaged and torn off. 3. The main sail, although furling, was difficult to operate from the mast. An impractical solution. This is also associated with the poorly color-recognizable use of ropes for its control. 4. The ship was handed over to us as fully functional. However, after the first voyage, it was clear that the ship's steering was not completely in order, which was evident the next day when the technician intervened due to the warning whistling of the fuel indicator light. Was there water in the fuel filter??? Apparently it is not cleaned regularly and when refueling we also found damage to the tank closure seal. The mechanic did not check this during the intervention. 5. The worst and most irresponsible thing on the part of the operator was the uncontrolled steering. During the mechanic's intervention when cleaning the fuel filter, we also pointed out to him that the dilution had a lot of play and we asked him to check it. The technician discovered that the steering ropes were loose from both rudders. He then tightened the ropes and for a while everything was fine. However, the next day when sailing out of the harbor between ships, we discovered that the steering rudders did not respond at all and the ship was completely uncontrollable. To re-moor, we had to use the emergency rudder and boattraster to control the ship. Moreover, the mechanics did not have access to that port, so we had to move the ship with such steering to a neighboring port. It is extremely irresponsible for the charter company to force the crew to move the ship with damaged steering. But they managed to do it. Subsequently, the mechanics discovered that the steering rope from the main rudder was torn. Based on how it looked, the rope was gradually pierced and apparently the last addition during the repair the previous day caused it to completely tear during the wind at night. From my point of view, this is the ultimate neglect of maintenance and inspection of the vessel before renting it. I don't even want to imagine what this would have caused to a crew with less experience, or if the tear had occurred during bad weather and waves at sea. Definitely a very bad experience, disappointment and great doubt about the good care of the ships by the charter company!!! I don't recommend it.
