The yacht was fine, everything was as booked and functioning.
What might be considered standard Croatian service contradicts the charter terms. Moving the yacht in the harbor without prior arrangement, while we hadn't yet returned it, and causing damage in the process, is anything but professional. Ultimately, we weren't charged for the damage, but you should expect unnecessary stress and unprofessional behavior. For us, it's a definite no-go.

Some more general feedback about the boat itself: because of the (not really removable) bimini, the sails weren't visible from the helm. Of course, it would have been possible to navigate precisely according to the instruments, but this is slow, firstly (also due to the yacht's width), and above all because of the transmission speeds from the masthead to the navigation instruments. The way the winches were mounted prevented the crew from operating them freely and effectively. The handle also brushed against the guardrail cables, causing injuries, even when the crew was wearing gloves. If this arrangement of the winches was designed so that one (!) skipper could operate them, three things speak against it: 1. the winch for the jib sheet is too far forward on both sides for the skipper to be able to operate it; 2. a boat designed for 6-8 crew members would have to have them tied in; 3. a way to moor the jib sheet would have been needed. In addition to these aspects, there was such a multitude of small and large defects that the sailing pleasure was also impaired: The luff of the furling mainsail extended so far out from the mast that it could not be retracted later. This was a special experience during urgently needed reefing in 6 Bft. The deck light didn't work. The starboard handle was broken, and it could only be removed from the winch with great effort, which was dangerous during fast maneuvers. The toilet on the port side aft was blocked, which only became apparent once we were already underway (it was definitely not our fault; we pulled out large strips of adhesive bandages that we didn't use). The spinnaker halyard was so twisted around the starboard shroud that the charter company had to sort it out with the bosun's chair. Thankfully, we noticed this before we set sail. The port button for the bowthruster kept getting stuck. Truly unnecessary during docking maneuvers. "The reading indicator for water tank 2 isn't working, so I'll set the valves to 2 first, then you set it to 1." The first part is true, but unfortunately, we ended up with tank 1 empty because the technician had adjusted the valves incorrectly. The door handles were no longer held in place by the Allen screws and kept falling out. Embarrassing when you were stuck on the toilet. The blackout blinds and fly screens on four of the hatches were broken, and we had plenty of mosquitoes. The hatch in the port cabin at the bow was leaking, which resulted in a wet bed because we had taken on water. The mattresses in all cabins were very saggy, which the charter company referred to the owner for. The socket in the port cabin aft was broken.
